Embarking on a New Educational Journey: Designing a Course in Life Cycle and Cost Assessment ...
A collaboration of researchers from four European universities and one research institute will develop modern training course on life cycle assessment, life cycle costing and business development for products, technologies and their production processes. This course will be aimed at both PhD students and industry employees and will be implemented in the framework of the summer school.
The training material will be developed in the framework of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Knowledge and Innovation Community “EIT RawMaterials” KAVA project EPICENTRE (Educational Platform lIfe Cycle assEssmeNt sTRucturEs).
Bringing together more than 300 leading industrial companies, universities and research organizations from 20 countries, EIT RawMaterials is one of the largest consortia in the world using support tools to strengthen collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, start-ups and innovative solutions at all stages of the product life cycle, from exploration, extraction and processing to substitution, recycling and the circular economy.
During the project, summer schools will be organized to validate the materials developed in both online and face-to-face sessions.
The project will be implemented by international partners – Riga Technical University in Latvia, TalTech in Estonia, Lulea University of Technology in Sweden, Aarhus University in Denmark and the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute in Slovenia.
The project started in January and will run for three years.
